November 5th, 1995 Jerusalem Old City耶路撒冷

Its about 9.30 in the morning I am walking down the stairs of those narrow streets of Jerusalem
The night before the Israeli prime minister was assasinated during an open air meeting after he made a speech about peace. The killer was a Jewish Terorrist.
In front of one of the shop was sitting Samer a Palestinan Muslim Friend I had.
He was looking very sad and worried and holding his head between his two hands and staring to the floor.
bic.
I tell him.
Sabah Ul Hayr Samer Keyf Halak?
Good morning Samer how do you feel? With my Arabic.
I say why you look so sad .This is not your friend you always took him as your enemy.
He is the one as Chief Of Staf conquered Jerusalem in 1967?

Of course Samer will not mentin to me the deep rooted fears in their tradition and history.

Unstability and a cycle of revenge.Where he fears to be a victim.

He said Jewish people are very clever, I hope somebody also will kill Arafat

They know that there will not be peace in our life time
But they lied to the people.

Both sides leaders had always managed badly their own people.
A leader must promise what he can do and must do what he promises.
The feeling of hope of peace is deep yet the disappointment had a deeper impact on the ordinary people who wish to go out from their home , work, make a plan for future and come back without getting killed by a bullet or a bomb or by a road accident which kill more people there than war like situation.

But no one seems to care as they consider accidents a fatality despite reckless drivers running amok.
