The limit of Virtual World

We are living a new world.
Distance become meaningless. No matter how far we are from our beloved people, provided
they are also computer literate and internet user.Suddenly riding subway I remember a friend
in my small mobile screen I can surf internet in a tunnel in city or watching Himalaya mountains from my train window,I can type on my small keyboard a few words of friendship.
Click, or using G3 line can become like a powerful person and talk to this mini camera lens on both sides of my phone and send my video chat.

Time also become irrelevant
Past photo does not belong to past as it used to be.
Condemned to be forgotten for perpetuity to stay in a dusty yellowish photo album.
Waiting for the rubbish collector to end up in a recycling plant to become toilet paper.
What a tragic destiny?
No past now is like a naughty little boy, playing hide and seek in a patient way.
Can hide from your eyes and memory 40 or more years
And seek you in present.
Giving you eyes filled of tears of emotion.Emotion of a child that once you were...
Space also become meaningless.
the photos who were left in different cities, countries in different times with different people
start to show up one after another.
It is like a carousel where the kids sit on horses and you watch them turning in front of your eyes.
But that one is a special one that we can see ourselves in different age shaking hand, making eyes
that the people at this time saw and now you can see all lost and forgotten episodes of self as it is a movie.
What is really virtual as a word?
It has also many meanings sometimes conflicting as life and humans can be.
Virtual is coming from virtualis in latin or virtue.
And meanings are if we look to dictionary:
1. moral excellence; goodness; righteousness.
2. conformity of one's life and conduct to moral and ethical principles; uprightness; rectitude.
3. chastity; virginity: to lose one's virtue.
4. a particular moral excellence. Compare cardinal virtues, natural virtue, theological virtue.
5. a good or admirable quality or property: the virtue of knowing one's weaknesses.
6. effective force; power or potency: a charm with the virtue of removing warts.
7. virtues, an order of angels. Compare angel (def. 1).
8. manly excellence; valor

All of them are very clean....

But when we look to the word VIRTUAL

  1. Existing or resulting in essence or effect though not in actual fact, form, or name: the virtual extinction of the buffalo.
  2. Existing in the mind, especially as a product of the imagination. Used in literary criticism of a text.
  3. Computer Science Created, simulated, or carried on by means of a computer or computer network: virtual conversations in a chat room.
Than virtual means, as if.

We suddenly have more friends as if we see them face to face .
We can go back and forward to past time and places as if we were there today.

We are alone in the front of this computer but we feel as if we are not alone.

We do not have money but with virtual finance, we receive credit as if we are rich.

And our bank managers look to us as if they are spotlessly clean people but some of them sometimes in some places will send our savings to shady people as if they are honorable financiers.Provided a good commission is paid to them even they look as if they did not receive it..

A very big reputable bank with secret balance sheet, go bust as if their managers were not the most clever and honorable people of the world.

When 8 months ago the world was in buying spree and everything was looking fine as if there will be no end.
We all now discover the limit of virtuality and we all are virtually broke.
What the people do when they find out they are broke?
They start working...
Those who were broke were working and will still be working.
Those who were virtual rich or virtual workers?
They will join broke people and work with them.
The world will become a better place if we belong more to the world of virtues.
And there will be less and less people in virtual world, having virtual friends, and investing in virtual ponzi schemes, eating in virtual restaurants with little or no customers....
